As I have written in the past, one of the rewards of attending a quilt show is to enjoy the local food. Such was the case when we attended the 12th Expo Patchwork and Quilt show in Mexico City last month.

I am constantly amazed at the creativity of our wonderful customers. At quilt shows and teaching assignments, our customers frequently share stories and photos of your quilts made using Pacific Rim Quilt Company patterns.

Unauthorized use of our quilt images

Last month I shared the following quick note with you:

Earlier this month one of Nancy's students and an additional customer asked us if we had given our permission to a company that produces rugs and bedding to use our Herd of Turtles design. We were shocked to find out that this company APPEARS to be selling products with our Herd of Turtles, Halloween and Dragonflies in Flight designs on the products. This company, AZCOZY has not been given the rights to use any of our designs! We hold the copyrights.

Q: Do I cut away the background fabric from behind the applique before quilting?

We vended at the Festival of Quilts in Portland Oregon last month. It was a special show because Nancy Lee Chong and her husband Warren joined Mark and I for the show.

We were honored to be invited to have a selection our our Hawaiian Wall Quilts on display in the Kona Hawaiian Quilt Museum, in Kailua Kona, Hawaii

Our display of quilts will be hanging until about the 11th of February. If you are lucky enough to have a chance to go and see them go check it out.

Before the Quilt Show season begins Mark and I are going on an amazing adventure. We heard about an opportunity to travel with a group from Mark's Rotary club to Ecuador. We will be traveling as part of a group called Amigo Vision.

Amigo Vision is a volunteer group who provides eye exams, referral services, and free or low cost glasses to non-serviced or under-served populations around the world.

A few months ago I was asked to create a pattern for the newest Quilters' Travel Companion and Crafters' Guide 2018-2020. This is their 15th Edition.
