My grandmother was a tailor and my mother had a love for interior design so I was always surrounded by beautiful lace and fabric. Although I learned to sew as a child, I didn’t start sewing again until my 30’s when my daughter and I started dancing hula and had to make our own costumes. It wasn’t until my mother passed away that I found quilting as a passion. I remember searching for my first quilting class and found Nancy Lee Chong’s Hawaiian Applique class. I was hooked and have been sewing Pacific Rim Quilt Company’s patterns ever since!
In 2023, I decided to leave my first career as a Human Resources professional and started Seaspray Quilts to follow my passion. As the owner of Seaspray Quilts, I began teaching needle turn applique and long arm quilting for clients. In 2024, when Connie and Mark decided to retire, it was the perfect opportunity for me to start a new adventure. I am obsessed with fabric (just like many of you) and love to put together custom curated kits that help you get to sewing faster! I can’t think of a better way to share my love of quilting than to continue to build on this great legacy of applique.
